Beach Time Fun in the Sun.
Too Damn Cute!
OMG! do the Cheng clan not make the cutest darn babies? Ok, so I am bias, but you have to admit Leah is pretty darn cute and adorable. Gabriel just LOVES her! He got very upset when we went to Ian's and he didn't get to see her before heading to the beach. He says "Baby" and knows to give her kisses. I think she looks a little like me when I was a baby. Gramma Watson seemed a bit smitten and I think it just solidified her desires to have another granddaughter. She has been scanning the catalogs lately.

Rain Water Baby
Water Balloon Fight!
Gabriel was invited to a water balloon fight at Jenn's and had a blast. He didn't really get the concept that he was suppose to throw it at someone. He just grabbed the water balloons and threw it to the ground. He eventually would grab one-or 2, and start running with it. At times he would make it a certain distance, stop and throw it to the ground. Other times, he didn't make it very far and drop it. Sometimes, the balloon didn't pop, but he didn't care...off for more water balloons! The other fighters eventually would try to get the water balloon to pop over his head just to get him wet(ter). Afterwards, he got to play with the water hose with Mattison and Cece in the front yard. Gabriel just loves water!

PEE PEE!
Gabriel just came up to me in the office and said "PeePee". Then he grabbed my hand to go toward the bathroom downstairs. How exciting! It was his first time he let me know that he needed to go and not just pee randomly (like he did about a month ago next to the sofa). He was watching his favorite Thomas the Train dvd and knew to stop and come get me. I am so happy and excited. Now, if only we can get him to poopoo on the toilet.

Story of the week
I have started Gabriel on cotton training underwear and usually put it on him after he poops and pees. He usually manages to keep dry for about 2 hours or so. The 2nd day we had it on, he came up to me a bit later and said, "poo-poo". YUCK! In the bathroom, I took off the underwear trying to keep the poop in the underwear (thank godness it was solid) until I could drop it in the toilet and flush it. As the sucker 'plopped' into the water, Gabriel stood there staring at it and said "Turtle...Turtle" over and over again. I didn't understand at first then I had to laugh since it did have a bit of a green tint to it. To a 2 year old it could look like a turtle sitting at the bottom of the toilet. So now, Gabriel says, "Turtle poo-poo" after he poops...but only if it is a solid one. :o)

Beach Time Shovelling!
Children's museum Part 2-Finding NEMO!
We found Nemo! Gabriel saw him just sitting there at the Children's museum and had to go and check him out. As you can see he was very cautious in his approach. He checked "Elmo" out and made sure it was the real deal before he decided to sit down next to Nemo. Gabriel waited until Nemo was comfortable and eventually got down to Nemo's level to give him a kiss. Too damn cute!
