Looney Tune Times

Gabriel has a play date with his cousin Christiana at the mall. It was so nice and the toys were all nice and new. They had a blast. Gabriel went around kissing some of the characters(Daffy got the big wet one) and loving on them. The 2 enjoyed the truck and kept getting in and out. They also pretended to take a nap on top of one of the "boxes". That was funny. Poor little Christiana had a personal run in with Taz. All in all, they has a fun time. I will try to get a video up next time.

Botanical Gardens

Another beautiful day at the Botanical Gardens last week with Gabriel's Gramma, Aunt Christine and Cousin Christiana. We went to see the butterfly exhibit that was there and the kids got a chance to play under a nice, big silk tree. Gabriel was trying to pull the smaller branches off it. The water park was a hit as usual and the 2 were up to the same antics. This time, the 2 of them decided they needed to lay down in the water for a bit. Gabriel was playing with his car with another boy. Poor Christiana was with one and kept trying to take one from the other boy.

A day at the Zoo

Gabriel really seemed to enjoy the animals at the zoo. First, he was greeted by one of the peacocks and Gabriel was very interested in him. The peacock did not feel the same and was trying to get away. Gabriel grabbed his Gramma's hand and followed it for a bit until it was time to say "Goodbye". Gabriel also got to go inside the prairie dog exhibit (via plastic dome) and got scared when he saw one of them from the bottom up on top of him. The giraffe was eating lunch and the pig was HUGE! Lots of animal poop too. It was a nice day.

Divalicious and the other chicks

The black and white is me holding my chick-Diva. Isn't she so cute? She is a blue silkie and was just so content on laying in my hand. Gabriel was very interested in the "birds" and for a 2 year old, was very good around them. He did want to make as much noise as possible with the metal trash can, but was very gentle when it came time to touch/pet one. The other chicks are all good egg layers so I can't wait!! Got my frying pan ready to go.

Smithfield, VA

All these years living in Virginia, I never made it out to Smithfield. It seemed so far away, but it really wasn't. It has a wonderful old town charm and the pork products aren't to shabby either. I love my pork products! The photo of the mummified legs of ham had cards and they read right to left. The one in the middle is pretty impressive(oldest ham) and my favorite chef/pseudo hubby- Alton Brown even mentioned it on one of his shows. How could I NOT go and see it for myself? I went with my real hubby, Matthew and Gabriel. It was a nice day trip. As for the peanut, that is one old legume. I just had to add Gabriel in the mix since he is a quick and willing student on how to eat ice cream from a cone and he is just so cute.

Let Sleeping Babies Sleep

Here is the photo of Gabriel passed out and Madison watching over him. I wasn't able to add it to the previous post for some reason. Poor baby just keeps going until his batteries run out and then he just recharges up for another day.

Gabriel at Church Service

Gabriel did pretty well at church today. The video is sideways and I have yet to figure out how to get it upright. I was sneaking the video of Gabriel and he did not know what his Momma was doing. If he did he would have most likely stopped or acted out. I did have to break out the cookies to bribe him to stay by me. He was dancing and clapping during the service, but did NOT freak out or make a stink about being there. He was so much better at this baptism then his own. After the baptism, we were off to Campbell's birthday party. Gabriel had a very busy day, but still did not take a nap that afternoon. We tried so hard to get him to nap and ended up napping ourselves. It finally caught up to him and he ended up passing out on the octopus chair about 1030pm tonight. Madison was there to make sure he didn't fall out of his seat.

Gabriel hanging out with his Family

Gabriel is usually a nightmare to photograph, let alone with someone else in the shot. Lately I have been pretty lucky and here are some of them from Saturday while visiting his Gramma's house. His little cousin, Christiana was checking out his shopping cart and even managed to push it a bit without him knowing. They played nicely at the sand table...and managed to not make each other cry. It was a good day.
