Gabriel's First Pool Jump

This is the video I captured of Gabriel's first "jump" into the pool. His Uncle Ian was there to catch him. It is a bit grainy since it was from the cellphone. He did need a little help at first, but after a few assists, he was able to jump in himself. He has learned not to drink as much water which makes him gag and throw up a bit earlier.

Gabriel's pool splashing

Gabriel just playing in the water at his Auntie Judy's house. The Carebear Waterwings were borrowed...but they are darn cute on him.

Baby Leah 2.5 months old

Baby Leah!!! She woke up and was wided eyed and bushy tailed. She was just looking around and being cute.

Drinking saltwater

Gabriel making his way to the pool for another round of water drinking.

Gabriel and Christiana watching TV

This is a photo off the cell phone of Gabriel and his little cousin Christiana at thier Gramma's house. They were both watching something interesting on tv.

Memorial Day Water Splashing Fun

Naked Toddler Alert!....Gabriel had a great time playing in the kiddie pool at Gramma's. As you can see, he has somewhat outgrown it, but not the fun! He loves the water and couldn't wait to get in it to splash and get crazy! He had to go Au Natural since I didn't have his swimming supplies on hand. I have decided to bring his swim trunks and swim diapers every time we go out since you never know when he will need it. My little land shark.

Greek Festival 2009

Greek Festival 2009 was a rainy, gloomy day. We managed to get out there and find a great parking spot and eat out weight in gold. As you can see, Gabriel was really liking the loukamades...they are fried pastry/dough and then they are drenched in the honey sauce that is very similar to baklava sauce. Ooey gooey, sticky, sweet and oh so yummy. He just loved them. I was trying to get the photos while Jenn was feeding him so not all the shots hav his head in it or centered. We had a great time and he even managed to get a good bit of the gyro in him. Until next year...OPA!

Bobo Attacks Gabriel's Shopping Cart

Bobo, the dog was very intimidated by the tires on the little tike shopping cart. At first Gabriel was not happy with the dog attacking his precious cart and was verbal about the assault on his cart. His puppies at home would never dare! Eventually Gabriel thought it was fun and would tease and provoke him. Gabriel would roll the cart back and forth as if to say, " Come and bite it!". He was even able to run around with his bottle in his mouth...as you can see in the video clip. When Bobo was banished back in to the garage for attacking the tires, Gabriel would roll it across the floor so the poor dog could hear it outside the garage door. It was fun to see the 2 of them playing tug of was with the cart. Bobo is so powerful that he would bring the cart down to its side like a small rodeo calf (picture2 above). I figured I better start looking for another cart on Craig's list just in case this one has to go into the repair shop.

Sesame Street Forest of Fun part II

Gabriel at the Sesame Street Forest Of Fun. We went for Mother's Day with Gramma, Aunt Christine and Cousin Christiana. He has a much better time this time around. He even got to play in the little water play inside the Sesame Street area since the weather was so nice. He had lots of fun and I am sure we will be back again soon.

Peter the Nutria

This is Peter the Nutria that lives @ Hilltop. My friend Kelly feeds it and named him-we assume it is a male. We are not sure how he got there and how he manages to survive all these years there and elude animal control. He at least knew to take up residence in the more posh part of town where they most likely won't hunt and eat him. HA!

Norfolk Botanical Gardens

Gabriel and his cousin, Christiana got to play in the little water park area inside the botanical gardens. There was the threat of thundershowers looming overhead, but we all got lucky and the kids got to play for about 30 minutes. Gabriel loved the water fountain line and kept going back and forth running through it. He did pause for a bit to try to drink out of the rock water fountain and ended up getting a lot more then he expected. Christiana was more interested in drinking the water..from the floor, but managed to play a bit on the water rock and the little mini water fountains. It was a great day, the park was beautiful with all the flowers blooming and the kids had a great time with thier Gramma/Ya-ya.

Gabriel at the Farm!

We finally got to go to Melissa and Jeff's place out in NC. Gabriel loved sitting on the red, racy tractor. When I started to move drive it-he was done and wanted off the big machine. He just liked sitting there trying to turn the large steering wheel. The video has Porter the dog following Gabriel while he was pushing his shopping cart around the house. Porter was smart enough to know not to get in front of the cart, but to stay behind it. She followed him for about 20 minutes before deciding she had enough. She is a good dog. One of the male collie mix was trying to herd Gabriel when we first got there and would not let him walk pass to get to the house. Gabriel was not sure what was going, but it was funny. Gabriel got to see baby chickens and a few toads too. Melissa really needs to get some sheep for her farm so her dog will stop herding my kid around :op

Express Checkout Lane

Gabriel LOVES his shopping. He has started to duck his head down while racing around "the track" at home. As you can see in the video, he GOES and he goes FAST... the dogs have each learned very quickly to stay out of Gabriel's express checkout lane. I can't wait until he is old enough for Black Friday shopping. Watch out people!
