Mt Trashmore

Gabriel and his Gramma got to play a bit before hunger pains changed Gabriel in the Mr. Hyde. It was a busy and beautiful day at the park. All the old familiar ducks were gone, but there were still plenty of "birds" hanging around the waterline.

Temper Tantrum

Well, here he is at his finest. Papa can come home and deal with this in May...live and in person. Enough said.

Busch Gardens-Sesame Street Forest of Fun...not really.

Gabriel went to Busch Gardens for the first time the day after Easter. His Grandpa, Marika and I were all there to cater to his needs. The weather was nice when we got there but it quickly became gloomy and then rainy. Gabriel was not too keen on the new Sesame Street Forest of Fun play area at first. There were lots of people and lots more strollers there. Gabriel did manage to play on one climbing/tunnel thing. The video is of him inside the tunnel. He loved that thing and was playing with it for a good while. He was not impressed with the rides nor the Sesame Street sing and dance show that came on while he was busy crawling around. Later we had lunch and then headed out the door. On the way out we stopped to look at the wolves, the Clydesdale's and the bald eagles...Gabriel knew they were "birds". I wanted to take him into the bird aviary, but he didn't want to get out of his stroller by then. Smart (tired) boy...my tired, aching back was thanking him too.

Easter Sunday at Gramma's house!

Easter at Grammas' house! The day turned out to be absolutely beautiful, but a bit chilly. Gabriel and his cousins, Marika and Christiana, got to enjoy the great food and crazy time out in the backyard. The Easter egg hunt was fun and the 2 little ones were quick to find all but 2 of the eggs. There were so many photos that I will be posting part 2 later when I get a chance. The kids made off like it was Christmas. Gramma always over spoils them...and the Mamas too. Thank you! Gramma took charge and ran the dance line up against the shed. After watching the video, it looks like Gabriel's untucked shirt is a loincloth or something. Hellooo Tarzan. This video was after the meal so they got to burn off a few calories...I should have been up there too especially after indulging in Gramma's potato dish. Happy Easter!

Easter Eve Egg Hunt 2009

It was a wet and soggy Easter Eve at Jenn and Brent's Easter egg hunt. Gabriel got to go first and look for some eggs out in their backyard. He had a great time and learned pretty quickly to go find them, pick them up and throw it in the bag. He just loved to walk and walk around the edge of the water and had a great time just being outside. The videos are the best and they have all the kids in them running around looking for Easter eggs. The one with the egg and yolk on the grill, well that was an egg that was placed in the still hot grill. It was freaky since the heat made the yolk POP out of the entire egg. Like an eyeball or something. It was half melted and warped, like something from a sci-fi movie. We all learned not to do that in the future. The videos are of the mad craziness of egg hunting by the kids and the "search and retrieve" drive that is in all of them. Mattison and Kelsey were willing to sacrifice the whole(eggs in basket) for the search and return of the lone egg out in the field...please refer to the video. Luckily, there were no serious physical injuries to both kids and egg.

Backyard Seesaw

It was such a nice day and Gabriel got on his first seesaw. He really liked being up in the air and hoovering. He never realized how much fun they were until now. I love the video since you can hear his funny laughing and giggles of glee. He also manages to say one of his favorite words, "more". He would not get off the seesaw and managed to stay on long enough for his Grandmother to come out, put a vest on him and feed him while still sitting on the thing!(see photo #3 ). Yup, that is our little(spoiled) Gabriel with a mouth full of sticky rice playing on the seesaw. He was so cute sitting with his feet dangling. He did not know what to do with them and kept them either kicking while up in the air or scrunched up when he was down to the grass. The last photo is with his cousin Markus. There isn't alot of photos with the 2 of them together so I though I would post it. They were playing with water, got busted and were running away...typical males.
