Shower Dancing Baby

Gabriel loves to dance, even in the shower. I was having difficulties loading this video up on the blog but after a few tries I am happy to have it on here. I hope everyone gets a kick out of it as I do. Even Ming gets to watch Gabriel's wild and wacky wet performance on a nightly basis.

Gabriel: "I like 2 Dance!"

OMG! just look at his cute little legs go! It is only good with him in his diaper so that you can really see them legs go. He does this all day and never runs out of energy. I just don't know where he gets all that energy from...I think he sucks it all out of me. The dogs are use to it but they are more concerned over the little orange pumpkin. It is in the path of the dancing toddler. Ian likes to call him Happy Feet. I love this video!

Christmas Baby

Merry Christmas! Another year has gone by so fast. You can't believe how much Gabriel has grown. He will be 2 years old in less than a month from now. His cousin Marika managed to get the bow on his head without him realizing it. He makes such a handsome present. She also made a few cakes in her Betty Crocker oven from 4 years ago...the photo doesn't show you how thin, dry and limpy they were...tasteless. I need to make a complaint cause if a fat Asian girl won't eat it, then you know it has got to be pretty bad.

Christmas(eve) at Gramma's

Here are some photos from Christmas Eve at Gramma's house. The little ones had a great time and as you can see so did the grown ups. Gabriel and his cousin were obsessed over the refrigerator. They were in there for at least 20mins total. Just moving things around. It was over 60 degree that day and so they also got to go out back and play in the yard again. The weather here is so weird. Uncle Bill and his family were there and we all had a great meal together. Gabriel did eventually warm up to his Granduncle Bill and had a good time. It was impossible to get a photo of Gramma and her 2 little "angels". She even got on her knees but they didn't buy it.

Gabriel's Cool Hang Out

Gabriel loves to hang out at all the coolest places. Here he is checking out his Gramma's fridge once again. She always has a plethora of goodies and cheese in there. Gabriel started his love affair with refrigerators with this original fridge. When he was about 8 months old he would use his little arm and hand to hold the door open so I could not close it. He was on the other side in his little wheeled walker. All I would see in the kitchen was his hand holding on for dear life. He was so funny. Can't say he isn't my kid, it is all about where the food is kept.

Marika's punishment PARTY!

Marika was being punished for not doing her assignment for the 3rd time. She got her timeout Auntie style! She was 3 yrs old the first time she had to pull her ears. Her cousin Nik was next to her back then doing the same thing. This time she had Gabriel to keep her company and her BFF Aleesa. Gabriel was hugging and leaning on Marika and that didn't make it any easier for her since she can't touch the wall. Gabriel also laid on her legs and tried to figure out why his cousin was looking at the wall. Let's just say I got those assignments pretty quick.

Darby and Ming -The Lost Cell Phone Photos

Darby...the first photo of her on the blog. She was such a wonderful girl. This was 2 yrs ago at the condo while I was pregnant with Gabriel. Ming was still a puppy and loved that sock cow. He chewed it all up and ate the stuffing out of it. Darby would just rip the stuffing out of her toys and Ming would eat it all. She was above the whole eating of the polyester innards...she prefered real food. Thank you very much. As Matthew always said of Darby...she was a "lady".

Marika-The Lost Cellphone Photos

Here is Marika about 2 years ago when she was 10 years old. She was still cute then. ha! I love the one with her in the Thai kickboxing outfit modeling her prized crossing guard vest/belt. She was so proud to be a hall monitor @ her elementary school. The other one is her favorite past time...eating. What more need I say.

Gabriel - The Lost Cellphone Photos

Here are some photos of Gabriel when he was less then a year old. They were on my cell phone and I was never able to get them off until now. The bottom photo with him in blue was the day I had to go back to work after having him and enjoying the 3 months at home with him. I loved his little baby feet. It's being modeled on his Pappa's belly. I must of gave him a hundred kisses before I finally walked out the door. It was so hard and Matthew was like "GO!". The one in red is his little Hitchcock pose. I thought it was so cute with his double chin...He is so cute.

Thanksgiving Rock Stars

I think this video is funny. The weather warmed up and was very nice at about 60 degrees for Thanksgiving. The kids got to go out back in Gramma's backyard and get some sunshine. As you watch the video you will see Gabriel's cousin, Christiana eating something she wasn't suppose to. She loves to eat and pretty much shoved whatever she could into her mouth and try to eat it. Please note the poor orange she has to her mouth. She tore right through the peel. Listen closely, Gramma's bladder is "stressed" the video. Gabriel liked to pick up Gramma's rocks and polished stones, one at a time and hold it as high as he can and let it go. He did the same thing to the poor orange that she is eating. Gabriel, the rock dropper and Christiana, the rock eater.

Amen

Gabriel is giving thanks on Thanksgiving day with a little help from his Gramma. He had already started eating, but did seem to mind it too much. There was something in his mouth(besides the cranberry frozen treat) that he was trying to get to, but Gramma had his hands. So he was a bit preoccupied with what was in his mouth.

Dancing at the Mall

Gabriel went to Lynnhaven mall and was having a good time playing in the kids play area. He spent most of his time running around like he is in the video and in and out the big whale's mouth and tail. As you can see, he is running/dancing and incorporates what seems like some ballet moves. I am not sure where he learned this, but he seems to be doing it alot lately. At one point, he does it with a milk bottle in his mouth and his favorite red truck in the other. Talk about talent!

Look Papa! No hands!

.Gabriel just loves to throw his arms up and start spinning. I managed to get him on video finally! He is so elusive and by the time the camera is out he is all done. This morning, I had a photo shoot for him, so I was ready for anything! I laugh every time I see these photos. They just show how much fun he is and how much he enjoys himself. That's poor Mochi trying to take a nap and having the Nutcracker performed next to her. I am sure that Papa is a bit worried he isn't here to throw some manly man influence on his only son. Don't worry, he still likes the older, pretty girls and throws himself on them even when they try to get away. Can we say, "restraining order"?

Christiana's 1st Birthday

r Christiana is 1 years old! It was very difficult to get a decent photo of the 2 cousins now that both are able to run from the camera at the same time! In the photo with me, she just went into her Grandmother's refrigerator and helped herself to a mouthful of grapes. As you can see it was her BIG day and she got to have her cake and eat it too. Oh to be carefree and for it to be cute and socially acceptable to have chocolate cake smeared on our faces and doodle in our pants again!

Gabriel and Marika

Gabriel adores his favorite cousin, Marika. I really wish I bought that little giraffe rocker now that I realize how much he enjoyed it. He kept going back to it and Marika would sit behind him and make sure he was safe. She is a good girl and she adores Gabriel too. They were having such a great time. I love these pictures because they show how happy they are together and how much they enjoy each others company.

Zoolander Nik

This is Nikolas. My 15 yr old nephew and my first "child". I got to practice raising a child with him. Here, he is doing his best Zoolander pose in his Uncle's footed sleeper. Yes, footed sleeper. He loved this thing and was cheesing in it for about an hour. He wanted to wear it to Walmart, but his Uncle said "No". So he had to change back to his old self. Doesn't he just crack you up?

Halloween Banana Video

We thought this was so funny when Mamiko got Markus dressed as a banana for his Halloween costume. Since it was a vegetarian trick or treating year, maybe next year Markus can be a slab of steak, Gabriel a pork chop and baby Leia can have a set of knife and fork on her.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!
Gabriel was so lazy! He didn't do much, but sit in the wagon and had me pull him up and down the driveways. My arm is soooo sore! He did also make it very hard for me to try to get a decent photo of him in his little pumpkin outfit. His cousin Markus was a banana and so it was a "vegetarian" Halloween. I have a funny video I will try to post. His other cousin, Marika turned 12 so it was her last year and she decided to hang out with her girlfriends instead. The little pumpkin was Markus' choice from the pumpkin patch. Then there is the photo of the bounty of goodies.

Gabriel and his cousin Marika like to sit and play the piano. He might not be the prodigy that Mozart was but, if you listen closely, what Gabriel is playing might sound a bit familiar. It is Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 in the "chopsticks" style. OK, it isn't exactly, but it comes darn close to it. Don't you agree Papa?

Gabriel loves his MingMing

Gabriel loves to play with Ming. Ming hangs around Gabriel's little food table and is Gabriel's very own 24/7 personal cleanup crew. Hey, I know what you are thinking and No, they don't come cheap. Here, Gabriel is offering one of his goldfish crackers to Ming, but Ming doesn't realize what he is trying to do. Gabriel works so hard and falls over trying to feed Ming. Once Ming figures out what was happening and tastes the little yummy, Gabriel isn't feeling as generous. It's back to his favorite show, Yo Gabba Gabba. Poor fat Ming...tummy teased.

OBX weekend Part II

Gabriel loves to jump and he could not resist jumping on the fine outer banks sand. He is so funny about his jumping and has a certain "style" when he does start jumping. His arms go back, head forward and Voila! Talk about Aerodynamics. The photo is of him eating nacho chips. We were really hungry that morning and had not eaten breakfast yet. The chips did taste better with the roar of the ocean waves surrounding us. Gabriel also had a fever from the day before so he was a bit less active then normal. He was so good about not feeling well and didn't put up much of a fuss.

OBX Weekend

Last weekend we celebrated an early 50Th birthday bash in Kitty Hawk, NC for Aunt Jenny! That's her smiling and displaying one of her gifts. We had a great time and Gramma got to eat, sleep, breathe and party with her 2 grand babies. The smell of dirty diapers in the hotel trashcans still fills her nostril as we speak, I am sure. That is a picture of Gramma having a moment with the baby, but no balcony. I also included photos of everyone that went, including me, and since it is of me in a bathing suit, I figured everyone else was OK to be displayed in a bathing suit too. Sorry, but fair! Gabriel and his cousin, Christiana played well together and enjoyed the sand and beach. Little Christiana experienced her first true gastronomical ecstasy of eating nothing but BUTTER baby! Butter makes everything taste better. She gave new meaning to "party in my pants", later that evening at dinner. No videos posted this time, but if I find one or 2 that is good and fun I will post later. It was a lovely weekend getaway. The weather was perfect, the sounds of the ocean calming, the views-breathtaking, the food delicious, but most of all: the wonderful company of family.
